Middle school social studies covers the entire span of history. Sixth graders study ancient cultures from the Stone Age through the settlement of the Americas. Seventh grade continues with contemporary cultures ranging from New World exploration to the end of the Cold War, and the demand for globalization. Eighth graders focus on South Carolina's history and its place in the United States of Amrerica- both past and future.
